The K2 Apache Recon, for all mountain warriors, is a new high performance adventure ski that excels in all terrain and snow conditions. Due to K2 Apache Recon's wider 78mm waist and a versatile 16mm sidecut, the K2 Apache Recon adapts seamlessly to any environment. Twin metal laminate construction and new MOD Monic Technology have also been detected in the K2 Apache Recon skis. Oddly, the only sightings of the K2 Apache Recon skis have been at the top and bottom of the lifts, leading experts to speculate that the K2 Apache Recon?s route down the mountain is beyond the beaten path. The K2 Recon has changed. It now has a Titan metal laminate and a buffed out mod monic physique that makes it pretty diesel and quickly noticed. The K2 Apache Recon has changed from a radial sidecut to a progressive sidecut.
Progressive sidecut has different curve shapes along different parts of the ski. Starting at the tail, as you move up the length of the ski to the tip, sidecut progressively increases. What this results in is the confident, quick initiation we desire for hard snow performance at the tip of the ski through underfoot, but with more forgiving, less aggressive turn shape from underfoot through the tail, allowing easier release in crud and powder.
The Apache encases a load and vibration absorbing technology which K2 call MOD Technology. This system has been tweaked for the Apache line offering further dampening effects towards the front of the ski, where most vibration typically occurs.

Condition:
